Grand Lodge has added a special convocation for sympathetic family and friends of AMORC members who may wish to experience Rosicrucianism. Members may invite non-members for this special convocation. Join us on the path that leads to self-mastery and discover your true potential.

The Convocation by Invitation will be held on Sunday November 26, 2023. This special convocation is only offered at this time of the year. Non-members who wish to attend must be accompanied by the member of AMORC who invited them.

This meeting will be held at Parkrose Masonic Lodge, 4812 NE 102nd Ave. Portland, and you can park in front of the building, and also in the nearby ABC Fire Extinguisher company lot. If you require the assistance of a handicapped ramp, you may park in the rear of the Parkrose Lodge building.

It seems to me that Atheism as a belief system is equivalent to various questionable belief systems in that it is fashionable to many who see many others in intellectual and power circles believing in it. Yet, like the others, when examined more closely it just fails to hold up to the prevailing evidence. For argument’s sake here are a few articles to.just show this is at the very least a very debatable idea.

Starting from a presumption, just to stretch the mind say, that Atheism isn’t valid or at least is only a spurious dominant or superior viewpoint, then what is the most likely alternative? That would seem to be a ‘Mind cause’ which can be referred to as Source, Universal Intelligence, Creator, Cosmic Mind, God, or whatever term each individual feels most comfortable with. 

One idea among theologians that I really like is that “God is that which nothing greater can be thought.” For if there is something that is greater than a conceived God/Mind/Creator then the greater conception would be the superior thing and that which is more probable.

That which is infinite is greater than that which is finite. Therefore an infinite Mind cause is more probable than a finite God or Mind cause / Creator. What could that kind of Mind-Cause be like? There is no known or universally agreed upon description of it. Well, other infinite ’things’ that come to mind are types of energy – the electromagnetic spectrum for example. So a Creator consisting of infinite energy, with an infinite capacity to manifest limiting fields of control or restriction of its nature while maintaining qualities of infinite consciousness or omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence would be a reasonable possibility. 

In this conception that which we would call ’Soul’ would be a portion of this spectrum. A Life Force may also be part of this spectrum. Then rather than discrete, independent souls there would instead be something like souls being somewhat like distinct wave patterns imprinted upon an infinite soul force in a like manner of radio or television broadcasts imprinted upon their carrier waves. 

From the human mind perspective with its limited senses this could all appear as a purely material reality composed of discrete jumbles of reactive chemical elements and imagined them being possibly infused with independent and discrete soul segments that can survive the physical breakdown of the material bonds they are temporarily associated with. 

Maybe something worth pondering. Some may want to think further on any implications. Such thought cannot hurt as stretching the mind would intuitively seem to be a universal good in itself.

Enneadic Star Pronaos welcomes you to attend a convocation at our Wilsonville location this coming Sunday, November 12th. “Space Travel” will be the experiment for the meeting, and here’s a brief preview: “There do exist invisible planes that for certain faculties of our consciousness are as perceptible and as real as the physical environment…. the aim of the experiment that we are going to carry out is to show that the human consciousness is capable of journeying through space and of harmonizing itself through imagination with the world of the infinitely small and the infinitely big.” This meeting is for members only; please bring your membership credentials.

Greetings, Fratres, Sorores, and Friends of AMORC.The Enneadic Star Pronaos Century Event (Oct 21-22), celebrating 100 years of AMORC in Portland, is fast approaching. If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible (here is our event page, with a registration link at the bottom). All events except the Convocation on Sunday are open to non-members so if you have friends or family who wish to attend, please get them to register also.Optional: If you wish to ride in the van to Champoeg on Saturday, please register for that. The $20 covers the van rental and gas. Otherwise, please plan to carpool with friends. +++++++++++++++++++ Optional but highly desirable: If you wish to join us for our celebration meal (with roses in crystal vases, fine china and fine organic fresh food), please choose your meal when you register. We need to know ASAP so that we can order the meals precisely to your tastes! The caterer needs a count by mid next week. Here are the specific main dish choices, pick one main dish per person.1. Omnivore – “The Verbal Tipper”: is a vegetarian dinner___, or you can add chicken___ or shrimp ___. Lemon pepper couscous, artichokes, giardiniera, fresh tomatoes, pepperoncinis, crisp cucumbers, a sprinkle of cheese and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, on a bed of massaged kale. 2. Vegan – “The Magic City”: Black-eyed pea fritters, housemade vegan and gluten free cornbread, “chowchow” – a southern sweet pickled relish, topped with a drizzle of hot sauce, on a bed of braised collard greens. 3. Gluten Free – “The G.T.P.”: Roasted tom kha cauliflower, tamarind sweet potato glass noodles, pickled cucumbers, truffled tomatoes, garnished with toasted coconut and furikake, on a bed of massaged kale. Fraters and Sorors, as promised earlier this year, we Rosicrucian Students are going into depth in the fundamental Rosicrucian skills. We have explored characteristics of electricity and magnetism, worked with healing crystals, and next we will review the skills needed to harmonize with the four basic elements. This will dovetail nicely with the Alchemical Meditation that the Grand Master will lead during our Century Event at Champoeg Park on Oct 21.

Join us this coming Sunday, October the 8th, and participate in Experiment 19, Harmonization with the Four Basic Elements. You will be reminded which vowel sounds go best with which elements and also with which parts of your body. The goal is to have you resonate yourself with the vibrating nature of the elements and benefit from the effects they continually exert on your physical and psychic bodies.

Greetings, Members and Friends of AMORC!

You are invited to participate in the special Rosicrucian Memorial (Pyramid) Ceremony on Saturday, Sept 23, 2023 at 1:15 pm PDT with Enneadic Star Pronaos. The ceremony will be held at Senn’s Dairy City Park (11206 NE Prescott St) in Portland. After the ceremony, we will convene at the nearby Parkrose Lodge building for light snacks and a demonstration of crystal healing by Soror Courtney Sappington.

On this particular day, the autumnal equinox, it is customary to construct a symbolic pyramid in honor of all the women and men who have perpetuated the Rosicrucian tradition and philosophy since ancient times. Members and friends of AMORC are welcome to attend this inspiring ceremony. Please bring a rock to use as we construct our symbolic pyramid.

Note: Please congregate at the NW corner of the park for the ceremony. The Parkrose Lodge building is about a mile away from the park.

Enneadic Star Pronaos Portland, OR Online Meetings Announcement       Greetings, Respected members of AMORC! After the International Convention in Aug 2023, the assembled Grand Masters and Supreme Grand Lodge officers met in conference. From that conference came many changes. There will be some exciting announcements later this year, including more opportunities for non-member friends of AMORC to attend some in-person Affiliated Body meetings. Guidelines for our online (Zoom) meetings have also changed. Going forward, we will draw our meeting content exclusively from AMORC materials. This includes an abundance of videos, podcasts, and articles covering many topics that are interesting to us as Seekers. It also means that we will not present any more episodes of the Magical Egypt series in our online meetings. Look for details soon about our next online meeting. The topic will be “The Trinity of Lights”, which is an in-depth look at the Convocation candle-lighting ritual. Having seen this fine presentation, I’m sure you’ll get useful insights from it!
