It is grassy and not paved, so may not be suitable for people using walkers. Walking labyrinths helps calm the wandering thoughts and brings a person in touch with their environment.
After the walk, we can go inside to the Taborspace café (at 5441 SE Belmont St. Portland, OR 97215 ), get drinks and snacks (buy your own) and go into the meeting hall to discuss our insights from the walk, ask and answer questions.
Sincerely and Fraternally, Fr Aaron Howard Regional Communication Director, RMPNW Region AMORC
The events of this year are helping us generate Love and oneness with Nature. Last month, we met on a lofty hilltop and joined our meditating selves with our fraters and sorors and concerned humans worldwide in the Rosicrucian meditation for Peace.
In our next Convocation we will practice the Aura Stimulation Experiment in our Pronaos.
“Our aura reveals our general well-being at any given moment. This poses a challenge to spiritual alchemy, which we need in order to liberate ourselves, so that we may become perfect agents of divine law. Adding to this the idea that when the majority of humanity’s auras attain a significant level of awareness, then the aura of the Earth will also become more pure, which translates into a more spiritually elevated collective consciousness. From that moment onward we will begin our final reintegration.”
The discussion afterwards during the social hour will shareRosicrucian techniques to test and strengthen the aura.
Members: Even though time doesn’t exist, do be there early because we lock the door at 2pm.
If this will be your first time attending a Pronaos Convocation, please be present as soon as the doors open at 1:20 PM, so that our officers can show you around the site, and share with you some of the symbolism and acquaint you with the ritual to be performed.
Schedule
1:20 PM – Doors Open
2:00 PM – Doors Close for Convocation (members)
3:00 PM – Doors Reopen for experiments and snacks (everybody)
The 2024 Peace Ceremony was held at the Stonehenge replica, which is a WW1 War Memorial.
The day was windy! Look how her hair was blowing straight back! We assembled inside and some sat before the altar, while I officiated, reading out the ceremony, which includes the Rosicrucian Contribution to Peace , which I encourage you to download and read often.
While reading these words, despite being buffeted by the winds, I felt mysteriously grounded, and I definitely felt the thoughts and prayers of sorors and fraters who couldn’t attend and who said they’d be meditating along with us at the appointed time. A soror in Seattle had sent me a notice that there were worldwide meditations for peace, in addition to our Rosicrucian ones, and that we’d chosen a powerful day and time. A frater, recently recovered from a serious operation, was shuddering as the ceremony began, and the shudders stopped.
After the ceremony we had a psychic picnic by the riverside. With no coordination of menus, we brought fruit, breads, salads, hot dogs, corn, chips, waters, seltzers, everything in abundance and shared. Not one but two gifted musicians played their hand pan drum in the replica and down by the river. One brought their double flute and another their crystal singing bowls. A photo album or two will be shared on our blog site , within a week.
Please join us every day for the Council of Solace meditation, and daily send peace into the world! Here’s a link to an album of photos from the event.
June 23rd Peace Day Ceremony Join us [and bring your friends and family] for the beautiful and very necessary Rosicrucian Peace Ceremony on Sunday, June 23, 2024!
A vote of the members selected the Stonehenge replica (First World War memorial) site in Maryhill, WA. (The builder of this site, Mr. Hill, erroneously believed that the original Stonehenge was constructed as a place of human sacrifice. Concluding there was a parallel between the loss of life in WWI and the sacrifices at ancient Stonehenge, he set out to build a replica on the cliffs of the Columbia as a reminder of those sacrifices and the “incredible folly” of the war.)
Though it is a bit of a drive, we can help you arrange carpools with other members. Email oregon@amorc.rosicrucian.org and state what city you’d be leaving from if you’re driving or if you want to share a car. Bring comfortable folding chairs with you. Prepare for sun and wind and its cool at night.
Peace Ceremony A ritual where we remind ourselves of our roles to be agents of peace.

Let us know if you wish to be initiated into this Pronaos. We can have two more Candidates. If you have attended Convocation at this Pronaos at least three times, you may write to oregon@amorc.rosicrucian.org and request to be Initiated on June 9th.
There is a special ceremony that we perform to do this initiation, and we need to know in advance how many people will take this initiation. A maximum of five candidates may be initiated at one time, so please reply ASAP. The initiation date is Sunday, June 9th 2024, at Parkrose in Portland. Directions can be found at:
Only if you have previously been initiated into this Pronaos, may you attend this ceremony.
Important note, this is NOT A DEGREE INITIATION, for a degree initiation you must go to a Lodge. Schedules of Degree Initiations are found on the Rosicrucian Community website.

Following our experiment on Vibroturgy, with results that depended on developing our psychic senses, we now offer this Rosicrucian video.
When we make decisions, a little voice from our subconscious mind may speak to us. Occasionally, we listen, and at other times, we choose to follow our conscious mind. This video explores ways to recognize the Inner Voice and cultivate a habit of true listening to allow the Spiritual Self to guide us.
When we struggle with a decision, pausing and asking ourselves, “What will love do?” may be all we require to expand our mental state.
Let us rejoice in nature with a guided walk by Master Anjala at Steigerwald Nature park!
Sunday, May 19th, 9:00 a.m., join Anjala Ehelebe for easy, accessible birding and nature lore at Steigerwald National Wildlife Refuge. All are welcome; this will be geared for beginning to intermediate level birders.
Meeting Location: the parking lot for Steigerwald Lake NWR is off SR 14 east of Washougal (45.571534, -122.320238). I’ll have a bright banner so you can find me. The main Refuge entrance has a parking lot with one ADA van accessible spot/unloading area and one additional ADA accessible parking spot on the east side of the lot near the trailhead kiosk.
The birdwalk can be a 3.5 mile out and back hike at a 1 A classification for speed and slope (relatively slow and flat terrain) but we’ll adjust for the abilities of those who come.
Dress for possible sun, wind and/or rain.
You may wish to download the Merlin application onto your cell phone, it helps identify birds by sounds and colors. E-bird is a fun one, and so is iNaturalist.
Bring your binoculars and bird i.d. books. Also a water bottle. The restrooms are near the parking lot but there are none in the refuge, so hydrate mindfully.
Event: Learn about Kirtan Chanting and Bhakti Yoga: A sacred sound workshop!
Led by Kavita Kat Macmillan, local teacher of Kirtan chanting, she will cover the history and basics of Bhakti music and sacred sound. She will lead vocal exercises and songs with a drone instrument (the Tanpura) and/or a harmonium. We will have a lot of fun and participants will gain much more knowledge about this path.
No charge, but you may donate what you feel called to give; AMRA (a Rosicrucian term) means as you receive, so shall you give.
Schedule
1:00 PM Brief introduction to the Rosicrucian Order
1:30-3:15 PM Kirtan Chanting workshop
3:15-4:00 PM Food and fellowship.
The Parkrose Masonic lodge is handicapped accessible and can easily be reached by bus or car.
My chosen theme for this Rosicrucian year 3377 (which began March 2024), is Love and Nature. We took a questionnaire at the 100 year celebration, and the results were that members wanted more experiences, (like the meditation in the woods and tour of Champoeg State Park), more experiments, and more experiences in nature. Also, we are going to have more activities for both members and non-members. Of note, we are having a special guest this May, (suggested by one of our sorors) who will introduce us to the meditative practice of Kirtan singing and to Bhakti yoga.
One of our members wonders if there are fraters and or sorors who would like to carpool with her to a mystical weekend at Rosicrucian Park. If you are interested, respond to this email at oregon@amorc.rosicrucian.org and I’ll forward your contact information to her.
We have a subcommittee now planning what we are going to do for our annual Peace Day celebration. We sent out a questionnaire in the email regarding this, asking which place you would prefer that we meet, so please let us know your answers within the next week. Thank you.
Please make it a habit to check our website and our blog page for updates about every two weeks! And look for our events on the Rosicrucian Community site or our Facebook and Meetup pages..
Join us for the very fun experiment on Vibroturgy!
What is vibroturgy you may ask?
Have you ever picked up something that belonged to someone else and got an impression as to who that person is?
Well, that’s what Rosicrucians call vibroturgy.
“Broadly speaking, vibroturgy is an ability that consists of harmonizing oneself with the “memory’ of a place or an object.”
Every time we’ve done this experiment in the past, members have had impressions of the people behind the objects that are wayyyyy beyond chance guesses.
The Order has many many lessons to help you develop your intuition, and encourages you to practice your intuition often, so you gain confidence in it. This is one more way you can tap the information that is in the vibrations around you. This experiment explains scientifically, EXACTLY, how vibroturgy works and why you need to have been continuously developing your psychic centers.
Please bring some piece of jewelry that is not gender specific that belongs to you or a loved one, and that is worn often.
By this, we mean, no ring that is obviously for a woman, or a man. It could be a small chain, a simple neutral ring that either a guy or a gal could have worn, a watch, or a lapel pin. The Master will choose from the jewelry offered and use them in the experiment.
First time members please arrive by 1:30 so we can show you around and things you need to know for the ritual.
