B8AXB8This is a visualization exercise for Rosicrucians in the Pacific Northwest Rosicrucian that will help us grow our groups in Portland and Seattle from a Pronaoi (a mid-sized group with four ritual officer positions) to a Chapter (a large group with nine ritual officer positions). Our goal for this Rosicrucian year 3372 is to rebuild the two pronaoi into larger entities in a way that will benefit all people.  The more people who visualize this, the faster it will happen.

Visualization is not just dreaming.  It is a tool that can dramatically assist your own efforts toward achievement.

A Stellar Solstice Celebration

The cycle of the Solstice brought together Rosicrucians from around the Pacific Northwest, and some non-Rosicrucian friends with mystical leanings for our second annual Solstice Peace Ceremony at Maryhill Stonehenge.  Notable among the attendees was Elma, who once was our RCUI guest instructor in the Kabbala.*

Master Anjala’s Rosicrucian Tour of Egypt [Part 1]

The following was written by Enneadic Star Pronaos Master Anajala about her recent trip to Egypt sponsored by and organized by the Grand Lodge.

As a member or non-member, the Rosicrucian tours offer insights into spiritual locations with practical lessons.  Inspired by our Grand Councilor who told my husband and me that if ever we could make the trip, the Rosicrucian tour of Egypt was astounding, and we should go, so, we listened to her.  My husband passed through transition before the next trip, but I went on the next tour.

Things you should know first:  The Rosicrucian Order has been leading member tours to Egypt since the 1930’s, and there are photos of members riding to the sites on camelback.   The Order sponsored Egyptian archeological digs and has established excellent relations with leading archeologists.  Because of this, our tour took us to a couple of sites that are off-limits to casual tourists.  And last but not least, the reason these sites are still standing is that, historically, Egypt got 1.5 inches of rain, A YEAR!  I share this with you because, while we were there, it rained for five days.  These magnificent monuments are slowly melting as the climate changes.  Go there sooner rather than later.

Rosicrucians, Ciphers and Francis Bacon the real author of Shakespeare’s Works?

Rosicrucians have long held up in Sir Francis Bacon as one of their historical leaders. Many Rosicrucians have also explored the idea that Bacon promoted the ideas of the enlightenment to the world as the secret author of the works of William Shakespeare. The notion that Bacon was behind Shakespeare’s writing is strongly supported by modern cipher sleuthing, including my own.

This topic has been one of my longtime hobbies. I’ve written about it extensively on internet forums as well as my own Shakespeare Authorship blog. Much of what I’ve written on the cryptographic evidence is based on my own original research.

Save the Date: June 21 Weekend Solstice Gathering
Spring is in full bloom, and we are a getting ready for the Summer Solstice. We are planning on having a two-day event at the Maryhill Stonehenge replica this year on the weekend of June 21. Last year we had a fantastic one-day event with a picnic and about 25 Rosicrucians and their friends from Washington, Oregon, and California coming together at this beautiful location.

Calling all Beta-testers, pioneers, and tech-friendly members

We are rolling out a new experimental forum for members in Southwest Washington and Oregon. If you are a member and would like to talk with other members (just text, no video or voice), you will be able to do so on the new ESP Slack site.  Slack is just like Facebook, but it will only be open to local Rosicrucian members. This was an idea suggested to us by one of our members, way out on the Oregon/Idaho state line.

Mystical Anxiety: Getting Behind on your Monographs

We recently spoke with a half dozen members in different parts of the state as part of our new online discussion group project. The one thing everyone had in common no matter when they joined AMORC or what part of the state they lived in was a feeling of anxiety about keeping up with their monograph readings.

In regards to this issue, the current Pronaos Master Anjala writes:

“This is an unpleasant situation that happens to all members.  In 40 years of being a member, I have never met someone who always reads their monographs every week, without fail.  

An administrator from Grand Lodge once told me that most members drop out in the 7th Degree.  If you have kept up reading your monographs, whenever you could, and you are past the 7th Degree, please accept my congratulations for you are not ordinary! When Grand Lodge was extensively staffed, back in the 1990s, I called my then Class Master and confessed to being a year behind in my monographs.  She was very soothing and said I should simply double up and read two monographs at a time until I had caught up.  She was very understanding.

Come to Convocations this month only if you wish to become more proficient in the art of Mental Creation.  Using the three skills of Concentration, Contemplation, and Visualization, a Rosicrucian can take ideas from the mental plane and bring them to the plane of Actuality.  

Come to Convocations only if you wish to shape the way your world works, instead of letting life happen to you.

Come to Convocations because you may have picked up part of our vision of a fun and full Enneadic Star Chapter and you want to take this vision and bring it into Actuality. 

All this year we are tailoring Convocation discourses and Exercises to the twin goals of making you a more powerful and skillful adept, and to making our group a more powerful, skillful and loving place to share our lights with you.
