Significant portions of our studies are devoted to the understanding of the psychic body, its faculties, and its role in our spiritual development. This is not without reason, as this understanding is foundational to much of the other work that we Rosicrucians pursue, which includes, but is not limited to, the development of the psychic centers, the practice of Rosicrucian healing techniques, and projection of the physic body.

An article titled ‘The Physical Body and The Psychic Body’ (Rosicrucian Forum, 1999, Vol. 69, No. 3) will set the stage for this month’s online session. This article presents Rosicrucian knowledge about the relationship between the physical and the psychic body and serves as a wonderful primer for further exploration into this subject. 

We hope that you are able to find some time in the coming days to review your studies on this fascinating and important topic, to consider experiences you may have had as a result of your practice of the exercises offered in the lessons, and to even prepare some questions you may want to bring to the discussion.

We are all familiar with the word thought and its basic meaning. The terms thought and think are constant fixtures in our everyday speech indicating that thought is a critical faculty of our daily functioning. However, what do we know of its actual attributes, capabilities, and the implications of developing a profound ability to harness the power of thought?

For our September Zoom meeting we will read an article by Past Imperator Ralph M Lewis titled ‘Light and Thought Waves’ (Rosicrucian Forum, 1966, Vol 37 No 3). In this article, Fr. Lewis examines the principle of thought from the perspective of physics, namely speed and transmission rate. He contrasts thought with the known physical attributes of light and cites results from Rosicrucian research into the attributes of thought and thought transmission.

In preparation for our meeting, we invite you to reflect and meditate on the nature of thought. Some questions you may ask yourself are:

Is thought an energy? Can thought travel faster than light?

Does thought differ from light as understood in physics?

Are there space-time restrictions that thought itself may be subject to?

This session will be the first of a two-part series on the subject of thought. October will continue with a study of thought projection as examined by Past Imperator H. Spencer Lewis.

Due to Corona Virus quarantine the Grand Lodge has suspended all convocations until further notice. Fortunately, our Pronaos already has an ongoing gathering on Zoom for meditation and discussions.

Our Online Discussion Group occurs every third Sunday, at 2 pm. Go HERE for details and links. This month, we will be reviewing the water magnetizing exercise for health.
