Convocation: Vowel Sound Therapy Series, Wilsonville, 2 pm 6/9/19

vibrational-energy

“Fratres and Sorores, vowel therapy should not be used for the sole aim of curing afflictions.  We can equally use vowel therapy in a preventative capacity to keep us in good health.”
—From this month’s discourse on vowel sounds

The next few convocations will focus on healing through vowel sounds.  Vowel sounds are a major focus of our practice, and like mantras, they are chanted in a way that allows us to benefit from their vibrational and energetic properties.

It would be good to review your 6th Degree Monographs on healing vowel sounds and techniques to prepare.

Here is an AMORC recording from 1972 of intonations of the vowel sounds inside the Kings Chambers of the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Continue reading “Convocation: Vowel Sound Therapy Series, Wilsonville, 2 pm 6/9/19”

Meditation: Visualize Being an AMORC Chapter

meditate-serene-calm
This is a meditation that members were led through at our convocation on on May 12, at the Wilsonville location.

We have stated that our Rosicrucian New Year’s Resolution is to grow our Pronaos into a Chapter. It’s a hugely ambitious goal, but it doesn’t mean much to member who have never experienced what an AMORC Chapter feels like. As we have stated, the Enneadic Star was once a Chapter. We already have the ritual items, officer robes and all that is required to restart the Chapter. But, we must have convocation attended by at least 30 members, three times in one year, in order to qualify to be reinstated as a Chapter.

This meditation is designed to help all members visualize a little bit of what attending convocation at a Chapter will be like.  The Pronaos is currently providing a thematic teaching on visualizations this year at convocation. MOST IMPORTANTLY: You can help the Pronaos grow to a Chapter by doing this visualization.

Rosicrucians, Ciphers and Francis Bacon the real author of Shakespeare’s Works?

cipher.stock.locks.jpg
[Original Research Submitted by Frater Clayton, Member AMORC, ESP, and Past Master]

Rosicrucians have long held up in Sir Francis Bacon as one of their historical leaders. Many Rosicrucians have also explored the idea that Bacon promoted the ideas of the enlightenment to the world as the secret author of the works of William Shakespeare. The notion that Bacon was behind Shakespeare’s writing is strongly supported by modern cipher sleuthing, including my own.

Portraits of Francis Bacon (left) and William Shakespeare (right). Were they one in the same?

This topic has been one of my longtime hobbies. I’ve written about it extensively on internet forums as well as my own Shakespeare Authorship blog. Much of what I’ve written on the cryptographic evidence is based on my own original research.

I am also a long time Rosicrucian and member of Enneadic Star Pronaos.

Solstice Event Dates, New Phone Number, Video Discussion Format: May Updates

Save the Date: June 21 Weekend Solstice Gathering

Spring is in full bloom, and we are a getting ready for the Summer Solstice. We are planning on having a two-day event at the Maryhill Stonehenge replica this year on the weekend of June 21. Last year we had a fantastic one-day event with a picnic and about 25 Rosicrucians and their friends from Washington, Oregon, and California coming together at this beautiful location.

Details for the event are still coming together, so be on the lookout for more in our update email, this blog, and social channels. If you’d like to volunteer, please email us.

Calling all Beta-testers, pioneers, and tech-friendly members

We are rolling out a new experimental forum for members in Southwest Washington and Oregon. If you are a member and would like to talk with other members (just text, no video or voice), you will be able to do so on the new ESP Slack site.  Slack is just like Facebook, but it will only be open to local Rosicrucian members. This was an idea suggested to us by one of our members, way out on the Oregon/Idaho state line.

Mystical Anxiety: Getting Behind on your Monographs

monograph.Studying
We recently spoke with a half dozen members in different parts of the state as part of our new online discussion group project. The one thing everyone had in common no matter when they joined AMORC or what part of the state they lived in was a feeling of anxiety about keeping up with their monograph readings.

In regards to this issue, the current Pronaos Master Anjala writes:

“This is an unpleasant situation that happens to all members.  In 40 years of being a member, I have never met someone who always reads their monographs every week, without fail.

An administrator from Grand Lodge once told me that most members drop out in the 7th Degree.  If you have kept up reading your monographs, whenever you could, and you are past the 7th Degree, please accept my congratulations for you are not ordinary! When Grand Lodge was extensively staffed, back in the 1990s, I called my then Class Master and confessed to being a year behind in my monographs.  She was very soothing and said I should simply double up and read two monographs at a time until I had caught up.  She was very understanding.

Convocation: Experiment 2 on Visualization, 2 pm, Portland 5/26/19

meditation
Come to Convocations this month only if you wish to become more proficient in the art of Mental Creation.  Using the three skills of Concentration, Contemplation, and Visualization, a Rosicrucian can take ideas from the mental plane and bring them to the plane of Actuality.

Come to Convocations only if you wish to shape the way your world works, instead of letting life happen to you.

Come to Convocations because you may have picked up part of our vision of a fun and full Enneadic Star Chapter and you want to take this vision and bring it into Actuality.

All this year we are tailoring Convocation discourses and Exercises to the twin goals of making you a more powerful and skillful adept, and to making our group a more powerful, skillful and loving place to share our lights with you.

Advice on Manifesting a New Pronaos

temple.ruins
Philae Temple – painting by David Roberts 1838.

We’ve been talking a lot about how we can improve the Pronaos.  We recently set a goal to not only improve how we serve the members but to grow the Pronaos into a Chapter. That’s an ambitious goal, and it will take a lot of creativity, energy and help from the members and the Cosmic to manifest.

Below is a letter about how they reinvigorated a Pronaos written by a past master in Canada. Please take some time to read this and visualize higher energy and vital life force flowing to our group in a way that benefits all beings.

If you have an idea on things that the Pronaos could do or could do better to serve the members, email us.

Below Written by Fr. Bernie Cook [Edited for length]

Disharmony manifests in many ways. It could be strife between members, low attendance numbers, low bank balances or even struggling to get people to attend Open Meetings and convocations. Even not having the right people taking on positions of leadership, will reflect an imbalance. It is often not even considered, but every business, organization or country has its own “birth date” and date of transition. With it comes its own karma. The affiliate body that you are a part of has its own birthday and end date, but we can prolong the life span of our affiliated body by “feeding” it energy. If not fed with sufficient power, symptoms such as those listed above will reveal themselves.

Ritual Reminder: Convocation and Open Class on Visualization, Portland, 2 pm, 4/28/19

IMG_4255

This is a mirror event of the one occurring in Wilsonville on 4/14/19. The first part of the event will be the member-only ritual with a discourse on Imagination and Creativity by H.S. Lewis (differs than the Wilsonville discourse). A public class on visualization will follow convocation. We will go over a simple step by step method for manifesting the things we want in life. We’ll also talk about discerning our desired and if our wants are in alignment with the Cosmic.

Updates for April: Online Discussion Group testing, Workshop Volunteers

zoom.teleconference

Online Discussion Group

We’ll begin testing out our new online discussion group and meditation this month. This group is designed to connect with members who are too far away to attend convocation. In these sessions, we’ll be doing simple meditations like the overall exercise and other visualizations and talking about topics from the Rosicrucian monographs.

We’ll be using the Zoom platform. All you’ll need is an email address, a computer with a microphone and video camera and a reliable broadband connection. We’ll be sending out notes to folks who have expressed an interest in the project. We’ll set up times for you to meet online and test the equipment. We plan to offer a regular schedule of online meetings (hopefully) in May.
